Refund Policy
Effective date: August 19, 2026
This policy explains how trials, subscription charges, and cancellations work for Church Sermon Notes. It is short and direct on purpose: it should be possible to know exactly what you're agreeing to before you enter a card.
1. The free trial
Every new subscription begins with a 7-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial, but you are not charged anything at that point.
You can cancel at any time during the 7 days — from Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription, or the Stripe billing portal linked there — and you will not be charged at all.
2. What happens when the trial ends
If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid subscription at the price shown for the plan you selected, and your payment method is charged at that time. Your subscription then renews and is charged again on the same date each month unless you cancel.
3. Refunds
All charges are final. We do not issue refunds for any subscription payment, including partial months, unused time after cancellation, or charges you meant to cancel before they happened but didn't.
This applies to every plan and every billing cycle, with no exceptions other than where applicable law requires one. If you believe a charge was made in error — for example, a duplicate charge, or a charge after you successfully cancelled — contact us at hello@churchsermonnotes.com and we will look into it.
4. Canceling a paid subscription
You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep full access through the time you've already paid for, and you will not be charged again after that.
Because charges are final, canceling does not retroactively refund any part of the period you're currently in.
5. Avoiding a surprise charge
We send a reminder email 3 days before your trial converts, with the exact amount and date and a link to cancel. If you'd rather not rely on the reminder, you can cancel any time from your billing settings the moment you no longer plan to continue — there's no penalty for canceling early, and it takes effect the same way either way.
6. AI study credit packs
One-time credit packs (purchased separately from a subscription, for member AI study) are also non-refundable once purchased. Unused credits do not expire.
7. Questions
If something about a charge doesn't look right, email us before disputing it with your bank — we can look into billing issues directly and much faster than a card dispute resolves.
